Apollo Sales team drives green!

As of this week, the Apollo Hotels & Resorts sales team will be visiting their contacts in one of the world's most environmentally friendly cars: the latest Fiat 5OO. With an A class energy label and clad in the vivid Apollo house style, the Dutch hotel group will be providing conspicuous evidence of their commitment to Socially Responsible Enterprise.

"Our sales staff cover many thousands of miles annually. And the way the group is expanding, we will taking on plenty more car users. As a modern business we are determined to take our responsibilities seriously, and to find solutions that impose the minimum burden on the environment. The welfare of our workforce is also of crucial importance. So the car we were looking for needed to be safe and comfortable. We looked at various options together with the sales team: it didn't take long to decide on the Fiat 5OO!" says Francesco Monaco, Managing Director of Apollo Hotels & Resorts. He eventually chose the sport de luxe version for his staff, with its leather bucket seats, air conditioning and Tomtom and Bluetooth installation.

Even though they had seen the artist's impressions, the Apollo sales team found it hard to hide their admiration for the new cars. "The white cars carry a logo, a web address, colourful highlights and the driver's name: they look like racing cars!" says Carine Overtoom with a smile. As Regional Sales Manager she is busy every day around the Amsterdam region, one of eight field staff to receive one of the new cars.

All Apollo Hotels & Resorts sales staff will eventually be driving one of the environmentally friendly vehicles. A new Fiat 5OO will be ordered as the lease contracts for their current cars come to an end, and whenever a new worker is employed.
